The hotel may seem a bit overpriced for what you actually get in the room, more on par with a 3-star level, giving a cold and empty feel, but it did provide a cozy setup great for watching TV and relaxing. The service was a mix of hesitancy and rudeness but there were helpful staff members. The location by the Elbe River offered stunning views and easy access to Dresden. The dining at the neogothic castle was simple yet pricey. Facilities were decent but nothing exceptional.
The hotel offers a fabulous view of Elbe and the park from the rooms, which are spacious and blend old-world charm with modern amenities. The service is exceptionally welcoming and helpful, making my stay very pleasant. The location provides easy access to central Dresden and the main stations, although it's a bit far from downtown for walking. The dining experience is excellent with river and city views, but slightly pricey. The facilities are top-class with a well-maintained pool area.
